Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Pilette has substantial expertise as a senior financial executive of technology companies, with over 20 years of financial management experience in the U.S. and EMEA. As Chief Financial Officer at Symantec, Mr. Pilette played a key role in the sale of the enterprise business to Broadcom and led key restructuring initiatives at the company. Prior to joining Symantec in May 2019, Mr. Pilette served as Chief Financial Officer of Logitech International S.A., a consumer electronics company listed on the Nasdaq Global Market and the SIX Swiss Exchange. From September 2013 to May 2019 he was responsible for the company’s financial strategies and worldwide finance organization, managing consolidated revenues of almost three billion dollars (U.S.). In addition, Mr. Pilette was a key partner to Logitech’s CEO to shape and direct the implementation of all aspects of the company’s business strategies. Prior to Logitech, Mr. Pilette served as Chief Financial Officer of Electronics for Imaging (EFI), a global technology imaging company, and as Vice President of Finance for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s multi-billion dollar server, storage and networking business.
Mr. Pilette holds an M.S. in engineering and business from Université Catholique de Louvain in Belgium and an M.B.A. from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in Chicago.
As Executive Vice President and General Manager of NortonLifeLock’s Consumer Business Unit, Mr. Kapuria led a 2.4 billion dollar (U.S.) revenue organization and was responsible for operations, engineering, product management, marketing, sales and support for the Company’s subscription services which are leading consumer and small business solutions known for protecting devices, information, identity, privacy, and homes.
Prior to NortonLifelock, Mr. Kapuria led Symantec’s Cyber Security Services business which includes Symantec’s global security operation centers, worldwide intelligence organization and consulting services. Kapuria joined Symantec in 2004 through the acquisition of @stake, a leading cyber security consulting firm, where he held a leadership role overseeing business strategy and emerging solutions.
Mr. Kapuria holds a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts.
Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Scott Taylor is NortonLifeLock's's executive vice president, general counsel and secretary reporting to the CEO. In addition to serving on the executive team and managing NortonLifeLock's global legal function, he manages NortonLifeLock's government affairs, public policy, corporate responsibility, philanthropy and ethics and compliance functions.
Before joining Symantec, Taylor served as chief administrative officer, senior vice president, and general counsel of Phoenix Technologies Ltd., managing all legal, human resources, facilities and IT functions worldwide. Before that, he was vice president and general counsel of Narus, Inc.
He is currently a director on the corporate board of Piper Jaffray, is a director on the corporate board of Digicert Inc., and serves on the board of trustees of Menlo School.
Taylor holds a juris doctorate from George Washington University, and a bachelor's degree from Stanford University. He began his legal career as a corporate attorney with a San Francisco-based law firm.
Mr. Brown is a financial executive with over than 15 years of public and private company experience, with deep technical accounting expertise. Mr. Brown joined Symantec in October 2015 and has held multiple positions in the finance team of increasing leadership before becoming the Company’s Chief Accounting Officer in January 2019. Prior to that, he served as Symantec’s Vice President, Finance from August 2016 to January 2019 and as Vice President, Corporate Controller of Blue Coat, Inc. from October 2015 until we acquired that company in August 2016. Previously, he served in various positions at NETGEAR, Inc., a computer networking hardware company, from 2010 to October 2015, most recently as Senior Director, Assistant Controller.
Mr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the Walter A. Haas School of Business at U.C. Berkeley.
Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer
Amy Cappellanti-Wolf joined NortonLifeLock via Symantec in July 2014 as senior vice president, chief human resources officer, reporting to the CEO. In addition to serving on the executive team and managing Symantec's global human resources function, she leads NortonLifeLock's workplace/workforce strategy and planning, real estate and facilities functions.
During her career, Cappellanti-Wolf has led human resources teams in high tech, entertainment and consumer products industries. Most recently she was the chief HR officer for Silver Spring Networks beginning in 2009. In partnership with the CEO and senior leaders, she delivered a successful IPO for Silver Spring Networks in March 2013.
Cappellanti-Wolf previously held key human resources leadership roles at Cisco Systems from 2001 to 2009. She began at Cisco leading HR for the U.S. Enterprise Sales team. From Sales, she moved into Worldwide Marketing, then Worldwide Business Functions and lastly was the vice president leading the HR teams for Decision Support, Services and Operations Businesses. Prior to Cisco, Cappellanti-Wolf has also led HR teams at Sun Microsystems, The Walt Disney Company, and Frito-Lay.
She holds an M.S. in Industrial and Labor Relations and a B.S. in Journalism and Public Relations, both from West Virginia University.
Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Sheila Jordan is senior vice president and chief information officer at NortonLifeLock. She is responsible for driving NortonLifeLock's information technology strategy and operations ensuring that the company has the right talent, stays ahead of technology trends and maximizes the value of technology investments. Her goal is to drive increased productivity, better efficiency and strategic business partnerships through simple and intuitive experiences for NortonLifeLock’s global workforce.
Since joining Symantec, now NortonLifeLock, in February 2014, Sheila has set the vision and strategy for Symantec IT, developed an experienced leadership team, and insourced IT operations from an outside vendor by building Symantec’s next generation secure data center in the company’s virtual private cloud. Sheila also led the effort to split IT operations when Symantec separated its security and information management businesses – a highly successful, transformative initiative accomplished in nine months. Sheila has established the strategy for “all things security” in an ever-changing and dynamic landscape.
Prior to joining Symantec, Sheila served as senior vice president of Communication and Collaboration IT at Cisco Systems. Within her purview at Cisco were collaboration platforms, user experience and support, and communications, collaboration and mobility services. During her nine-year tenure at Cisco, Sheila’s IT organization was recognized by the industry with awards presented by CITE, InformationWeek and CIO Magazine. She also received the 2010 Cisco Executive Sponsor Catalyst award for her leadership in developing successful relationships with customers, including several Fortune 100 companies.
Earlier in her career Sheila worked at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, where she was senior vice president of Destination Disney. A key architect of the strategic planning process, she was responsible for delivering profitable growth. She was instrumental in integrating marketing, sales, and services across the organization as Disney transformed its business from a product-centric to a guest-centric organization.
In June 2016, Sheila joined the Board of Directors of FactSet Research Systems Inc. (NYSE:FDS) (NASDAQ:FDS), a $6.5 billion global company that delivers the world's best insight and information to investment professionals through superior analytics, service, content, and technology.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Florida Institute of Technology.
Senior Vice President, Chief Technology Officer
Dr. Hugh Thompson has more than a decade of experience creating methodologies that help organizations build demonstrably more secure systems. He joined Blue Coat in 2012, and was named CTO of Symantec after the acquisition of Blue Coat in August 2016.
Thompson has co-authored three books, written more than 80 academic and industrial publications on security, and been interviewed by top news organizations including the BBC, CNN, MSNBC, Financial Times, Washington Post, and others.
In 2006, Thompson was named one of the “Top 5 Most Influential Thinkers in IT Security” by SC Magazine and has, for the past several years, served as the program committee chairman for RSA Conference, guiding the technical content the world’s largest information security gathering. He also sits on the Editorial Board of IEEE Security and Privacy Magazine, and is an adjunct professor at Columbia University in New York.
Thompson holds a B.S., M.S. and Ph.D. in applied mathematics from the Florida Institute of Technology.
Senior Vice President, Chief Marketing Officer
Debora Tomlin is the CMO of NortonLifeLock, with responsibility for driving all marketing and customer experience programs across the company.
Prior to joining Symantec, she was CMO, EVP Customer Experience and Marketing for CSAA Insurance Group, and also held the Chief Marketing and Distribution Officer role, leading all of distribution (sales), enterprise strategy, and data organization. Prior to CSAA, she was vice president with Capital One Bank, where she headed commercial, small business banking and retail marketing and sponsorships after leading the marketing strategy for national, small business credit cards. Before joining Capital One, Tomlin held the roles of senior marketing officer, insurance and head of corporate brand at USAA.
Tomlin currently serves on the board of directors of LiveRamp (NYSE: RAMP) and previously served as a director for Acxiom Corporation (NASDAQ: ACXM) before it was acquired by Interpublic Group in 2018. In the nonprofit space, she served on the boards of the YMCA of San Francisco and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Society of GA. She has been repeatedly honored by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the Bay Area’s Most Influential Women in Business and was named to the Forever Influential list in 2016.
Tomlin has a bachelor’s degree from Siena College and master’s degree from North Carolina State University.
Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Field Marketing
Fredrik Torstensson is the senior vice president of global sales and field marketing for the consumer business. Torstensson is responsible for driving global consumer revenue growth for the LifeLock and Norton businesses, strengthening strategic partnerships with customers, and securing a world-class marketing position.
Torstensson brings more than 20 years of experience in executive management within the fields of consumer electronics, software, wireless, e-commerce and Enterprise/B2B. Prior to joining Symantec, Torstensson was the senior vice president of global sales at Wacom, a global leader of pen touch technology. He also previously served in senior level sales and general manager positions with LifeProof, which was acquired by Otterbox, Comarco Wireless, Kyocera Wireless and Ericsson.
Torstensson earned a Master of International Management from the University of Texas and a Bachelor of Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden.
Former Chief Sales and Marketing Officer for HPE Software
Ms. Barsamian previously served as the Executive Vice President, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer of Hewlett Packard Enterprise Software, successfully spinning the division out from HPE and merging with Micro Focus International, plc to form the 7th largest software company in the world. From 2006 to 2016, Ms. Barsamian served in various executive roles at Hewlett Packard including SVP and GM of Enterprise Security Products, the company's cybersecurity portfolio and SVP of Worldwide Indirect Sales. Prior to joining Hewlett Packard, Ms. Barsamian was Vice President, Global Go-to-Market at Mercury Interactive Corporation and held various leadership positions at Critical Path, Inc. and Verity, Inc. Ms. Barsamian serves on the board of directors of Box, Inc. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Kansas State University and completed her post-graduate studies at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.
Frank E. Dangeard
Managing Partner, Harcourt
Frank E. Dangeard joined Symantec's board of directors in January 2007. He is Managing Partner of Harcourt. From September 2004 to February 2008 he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Thomson S.A. From 2002 to September 2004, he was Deputy CEO of France Telecom. He joined Thomson multimedia in 1997 as Deputy CEO, and was appointed Vice Chairman in 2000.
Prior to joining Thomson multimedia, Mr. Dangeard was managing director of SG Warburg & Co. Ltd and Chairman of SG Warburg France. Before joining SG Warburg, Dangeard was a lawyer with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP in New York and London.
Mr. Dangeard also serves on the Board of Directors of the Royal Bank of Scotland (UK) and Arqiva (UK). He is Chairman of NatWest Markets (UK). He graduated from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, the Paris Institut d'Etudes Politiques and from Harvard Law School. Mr. Dangeard splits his time between Europe and the United States.

Peter A. Feld has served as a Managing Member and Head of Research of Starboard since April 2011. Mr. Feld has served on the board of directors of Magellan Health, Inc. (“Magellan”), a healthcare company, since March 2019. Mr. Feld previously served on the boards of directors of several technology companies, including Marvell Technology Group Ltd. ("Marvell") from May 2016 to June 2018, The Brink's Company from January 2016 to November 2017, Insperity, Inc. from March 2015 to June 2017, Darden Restaurants, Inc. from October 2014 to September 2015, Tessera Technologies, Inc. Dale L. Fuller has served on the board of directors of comScore, Inc., a media measurement and analytics company, since March 2018, and as Chairman of the board of directors of MobiSocial, Inc., a technology startup, since January 2013. Mr. Fuller previously served on the boards of directors of several technology companies, including Quantum Corporation from September 2014 to March 2017 and AVG Technologies N.V. from November 2008 to October 2016 and as Chairman from March 2009 to October 2016. Mr. Fuller holds an honorary doctorate degree from St. Petersburg State University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Pacific College.
Managing Partner and Managing Director, Silver Lake
Kenneth Hao joined Symantec's board of directors in March 2016. He is a Managing Partner and Managing Director of Silver Lake. Prior to joining Silver Lake in 2000, Mr. Hao was with Hambrecht & Quist, where he served as a Managing Director. Mr. Hao serves as a director on the boards of Silver Lake's portfolio companies including Broadcom, SMART Modular, and SolarWinds. He also serves on the Executive Council for UCSF Health. Mr. Hao graduated from Harvard College with an A.B. in Economics.
Richard S. Hill
Interim CEO and President
Richard S. Hill was Symantec’s Interim CEO and President and a member of its Board. He has served as Chairman of the board of directors of Marvell Technology Group Ltd., a semiconductor company, since May 2016 and as a member of the boards of directors of Arrow Electronics, Inc., an electronic components and enterprise computing solutions company, since 2006, Cabot Microelectronics Corporation, a chemical mechanical planarization supplier, since June 2012, and Xperi, an electronic devices development company, since August 2012 and as its Chairman since March 2013. Previously, Mr. Hill served on the boards of directors of several technology companies, including Autodesk, Inc. from March 2016 to June 2018, Yahoo! Inc. from April 2016 to June 2017, Planar Systems, Inc. from June 2013 to December 2015 and LSI Corporation from 2007 to May 2014. Mr. Hill also served as CEO of Novellus Systems, Inc. from December 1993 to June 2012 and held the title of Chairman/CEO at Novellus from May 1996 to June 2012. Mr. Hill received a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering from the University of Illinois in Chicago and a Master of Business Administration from Syracuse University.

David Humphrey has served as a member of the Symantec Board since August 2016 upon the closing of the Blue Coat Acquisition, prior to which he served on Blue Coat's board of directors since May 2015. Mr. Humphrey joined Bain Capital in 2001 and has been a Managing Director of Bain Capital since 2013. Prior to joining Bain Capital, Mr. Humphrey was an investment banker in the mergers and acquisitions group at Lehman Brothers from 1999 to 2001. Mr. Humphrey serves on the board of directors of Genpact, Waystar, Rocket Software and Blue Nile. Mr. Humphrey previously served on the board of directors of Bright Horizons Family Solutions Inc., Burlington Stores, Inc., BMC Software, Viewpoint Construction Software, Skillsoft plc. and Bloomin' Brands, Inc. Mr. Humphrey received a master's of business administration from Harvard Business School and a bachelor's degree from Harvard University.
David L. Mahoney
Former Co-CEO of McKesson HBOC, Inc. and CEO of iMcKesson LLC
David L. Mahoney was appointed to Symantec's board of directors in April 2003. He previously served as co-CEO of McKesson HBOC, Inc. and as CEO of iMcKesson LLC from July 1999 to February 2001. Mahoney joined McKesson in 1990 as vice president for Strategic Planning, and was responsible for planning and corporate development. He had overall responsibility for McKesson's strategic relations with pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, was responsible for the establishment of the Pharmaceutical Partners Group at McKesson, and the launch of a new generics program.
Prior to joining McKesson, Mahoney was a principal with McKinsey & Company from 1981 to 1990. He serves on the board of directors of Adamas Pharmaceuticals, Corcept Therapeutics, Inc., Schwab Funds/Laudus Funds, SFMOMA, and Mercy Corps.
He has a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a master's of business administration from Harvard University.
Anita M. Sands
Former Group Managing Director, Head of Change Leadership at UBS Wealth Management Americas
Anita M. Sands joined Symantec's board of directors in October 2013. She previously served as Group Managing Director, Head of Change Leadership and a member of the Wealth Management Americas Executive Committee of UBS Financial Services. Sands joined UBS in October 2009 as a Transformation Consultant before becoming Chief Operating Officer, then Head of Change Leadership. At UBS she developed and executed the organization's transformation strategy through the introduction of innovative processes and industry leading technology platforms.
Sands previously served as managing director, head of Transformational Management at Citigroup; senior vice president and head of Innovation and Process Design at the Royal Bank of Canada; and director of CIBC Treasury and World Markets at CIBC. Sands serves on the board of directors of ServiceNow, Pure Storage, and Thought Works.
Sands has received many awards in recognition for her leadership, contribution to public service and efforts to empower women, including 2012 Women of Concern by Concern Worldwide and 2011 Most Influential Women by Irish Voice.
She holds a bachelor's degree with first class honors, in Physics and Applied Mathematics and a doctorate in atomic and molecular physics from Queen's University of Belfast, and she was a Fulbright Scholar at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, where she graduated with a master's degree in public policy and management with highest distinction.
Daniel H. Schulman
Chairman of the Board, Symantec, President and CEO at PayPal
Daniel H. Schulman has been a member of Symantec's board of directors since March 2000, and was named chairman of the board in January 2013. He is currently the president and CEO of PayPal. Previously, Schulman served as the president of American Express' Enterprise Growth group, president of Sprint's PrePaid Group and chief executive officer of Virgin Mobile USA, until its acquisition by Sprint in the Fall of 2009.
From May 2000 until May 2001, Schulman was president and chief executive officer of priceline.com, after serving as president and chief operating officer from July 1999. Previously, Schulman was president of the AT&T Consumer Markets Division of AT&T Corp., a telecommunications services company, and was appointed to the AT&T Operations Group, the company's most senior executive body.
Schulman serves on the board of directors of Verizon. He received a bachelor's degree in economics from Middlebury College, and a master's degree in business administration, majoring in Finance, from New York University.
V. Paul Unruh joined Symantec's board of directors following the company's merger with VERITAS Software in July 2005. Unruh had served on the VERITAS board of directors since 2003.
Unruh retired as vice chairman of Bechtel Group, Inc. in June 2003. During his 25-year tenure he held a number of management positions including treasurer, controller, and chief financial officer.
He also served as president of Bechtel Enterprises, the finance, development, and ownership arm, from 1997 to 2001. Unruh is also a certified public accountant.
Suzanne M. Vautrinot
Major General and Commander, United States Air Force (retired)
Suzanne M. Vautrinot joined Symantec's board of directors in October 2013. She was a highly decorated Major General of the United States Air Force with a successful career influencing the development and application of cyber security and space technology before retiring in October 2013. During her 31 year tenure with the USAF, she led large-scale, diverse, global organizations that operate, extend, maintain, and defend global networks. Ms. Vautrinot earned a reputation as a motivational leader and change agent focused on delivering technical innovations that resolve complex challenges. Most recently, she served as Commander, 24th Air Force and Air Forces Cyber where she oversaw a multi-billion dollar global cyber enterprise with 14,000 military, civilians, and contractors. This unit conducted military, intelligence, and law-enforcement missions; provided IT services and technology management to 850,000 users; and performed global vulnerability assessment and remediation, and proactive cyber defense activities.
Ms. Vautrinot is a member of the board of directors of Wells Fargo and Ecolab, Inc., both public companies. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, followed by a Master of Science in Systems Management from the University of Southern California and was a National Security Fellow at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. She was inducted into the National Academy of Engineering (NAE) in 2017.
