NortonLifeLock named one of 100 Best Corporate Citizens of 2020

The company is proud to be recognized for outstanding ESG performance

Today, NortonLifeLock has been named to 3BL’s 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking, recognizing outstanding environmental, social and governance (ESG) transparency and performance among the 1,000 largest, U.S. public companies.

The 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking is based on 141 ESG transparency and performance factors in eight pillars: climate change, employee relations, environment, finance, governance, human rights, stakeholders and society, and ESG performance.

To compile the ranking, corporate data and information is obtained from publicly available sources only, and companies are researched by ISS ESG, the responsible investment research arm of Institutional Shareholder Services. NortonLifeLock’s overall rank in 2020 is #56 and we are ranked #4 in the Software Services industry.

“When NortonLockLock transitioned to a pure-play, standalone consumer cyber safety company last year, we saw an opportunity to evolve and build upon our commitment to sustainability and social responsibility,” said Kim Allman, Head of Corporate Responsibility and Government Affairs at NortonLifeLock. “To be recognized for our ESG efforts by the 100 Best Corporate Citizens ranking reaffirms our unwavering commitment to a diverse and inclusive workforce, bettering the environment, and generating positive societal impact.”

At NortonLifeLock, being a good corporate citizen is part of our culture of integrity. This year we have recommitted to the United Nations Global Compact, continuing our commitment to protecting human rights, upholding ethical labor conditions, protecting the environment, and combating corruption. We have donated our products and expertise to help employees safely shift to work from home and to keep children and families safe online during the COVID-19 pandemic.

And, we launched our newest social impact program, Tech for Good, in March 2020. Our support of the Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City is providing 30,000 domestic and gender-based violence victims that visit a Family Justice Center (FJC) with Norton360 anti-stalkerware. This pilot is the first step in a program to use our technology to support vulnerable populations.

We are proud to be recognized for Corporate Responsibility leadership and for our commitment to our customers, employees, shareholders, and communities by 3BL Media. NortonLifeLock was also recently named one of the 50 most community-minded companies in America as part of The Civic 50, was ranked as one of the best places to work for LGBTQ+ equality, scored an A- on the CDP Climate List, and ranked #21 on Forbes’ list of America’s most just companies the JUST 100.
